Keyword Research Tools
When starting keyword research I would use a tool like Neil Patel’s Ubersuggest, SEM Rush, Keywords Everywhere, Ahrefs, or something similar. Go and do a search on your domain overview and see what keywords you already rank for.
These are really awesome tools. You can do a search on a competitor’s website to see what they rank for also and compare it’ll show you, what keywords you overlap on as well as um. Right here, top opportunities for you, so keywords that are missing that you could add in I usually go by volume.
So what are people searching a lot and then keyword? The difficulty is another thing to look at. So if it’s going to be a really difficult, it’s, probably not worth your time there’s, a lot of people searching for it and the difficulty is too competitive especially at the beginning if you just starting out.
Choose Lower Competition Keywords At the Start
So I would actually probably drop that word down in a bank as one I want to try to rank for another time. What’s you should look for is in between that 3 and 30 spots on Google? Because if I’m already ranking for it, I may as well try to move up further, so these ones are already on the first page of google.
That would be a good blog post right here, So this would be one that I would maybe again do another blog post kind of around because people are searching.
You should think it’s, something I’m already ranking for so that’s, how I go about looking for new key phrases. The other way that I like to use the research tool is, I will use a keyword that I think I would like to be ranking for.
You should think about what a potential client would use to find you, so I will type in SEO for example into the research tool and it will come up with the volume, as well as the difficulty percentage.
Two things to look for with the keyword research
So those are the two things again that I’m looking at, but they will also come up with a whole lot of other key phrases that you could potentially try to rank. For so, the volume is pretty high, which means a lot of people are searching for it, and the difficulty is not too bad, so that’s, one that I would again try to rank for, show it website templates.
Plan on writing a blog post about topics that users are looking to use the difficulty and competition to decided the keywords and start writing. If you are still stuck on what to write go to the top-ranked site and see what they are writing about, how long the content is the headings, and subheadings they use.
I always put all my potential keywords into a google doc and that’s, how I start collecting all of my keywords, so I hope you guys found this helpful there’s, a lot of other tools I use like Moz.
